Applications
Virtual Reality
Virtual Reality (VR) is one of the major applications for A.R.T. tracking systems. VR is defined as the combination of immersion and interaction. The user feels as being a part of a computer-generated artificial three-dimensional world (immersion) and is able to directly interact with this world. To achieve this, head position and interaction devices have to be tracked. More...

Industrial Measurement
Coordinate measurement is a standard task in today's industrial applications. A coordinate measurement machine for industry has to meet several demands, such as robustness, accuracy, usability, flexibility. In all respects A.R.T. could prove competence in numerous industrial projects.
In the simplest case, single 3D-points are measured and evaluated with regard to certain geometric relations such as lengths ot angles. For such applications, a simple measurement device might be sufficient. But tracking for industrial applications can go far beyond that; tool or robot tracking are more elaborate examples. More...

Motion Capture
Fraunhofer IAIS has developed software plug-ins for AUTODESK software package MAYA and MOTIONBUILDER in order to use tracking data provided by tracking systems developed by A.R.T. GmbH.
The plugin for AUTODESK modelling software MAYA is called "MadTrack". The plugin for AUTODESK software solution for motion capture and motion editing MOTIONBUILDER is called "ModTrack". More...
