Eye tracking of multiple Operators in Team Situations

The coupling of a head-mounted eye-tracking system with the optical A.R.T. tracking system TrackPack enables accurate eye-data recording:

• Accurate eye-tracking data can be recorded within a 3*3 meter range.
• There is no limitation in respect to metallic objects within the environment of data acquisition
• It is possible to track multiple persons simultaneously

Simulation Environments:
At the Institute of Flight Guidance, within the Department of Human Factors the coupling of an SMI-iViewX eye-tracking system and the A.R.-Tracking system was realized. The development was motivated by the aim to track multiple operators in the Towersimulation environment or the Cockpit simulator at the German Aearospace Center.
In the past, eye-data recording asked for strict limitation of metallic Objects in the Cockpit simulation environment. A non-magnetic head-tracking system will simplify the head-mounted eye-data acquisition in such highly technical simulation environments.
