A.R.T. setup

A short history of ARTtrack cameras:

ARTtrack1 camera

Launched in 2000, this camera type could be used for working distances up to 6 to 10 meters (depending on marker size). It was mostly used for big VR setups and was the base of A.R.T.’s commercial success in the first years.

ARTtrack2 camera

This camera type was developed on the base of new and more compact hardware and was launched in 2004. Since then it has been A.R.T.’s most recommended solution for smaller rooms and standard VR setups.

ARTtrack3 camera

Launched in 2007, this camera type is replacing the ARTtrack1 camera, which is no longer produced. It is mostly based on the meanwhile more advanced ARTtrack2 technology, provides the same IR range as ARTtrack1 and is working completely noiseless due to passive cooling.

ARTtrack1, ARTtrack2 and ARTtrack3 cameras can be mixed in a single tracking system setup.
